How to use this calculator
Pick a bounded equation type. For a system, enter its six coefficients.
Formula and method
Quadratic roots: (−b±√(b²−4ac))/(2a). Two-variable systems use Cramer’s rule for nonzero determinant.
Worked example
x²−3x+2=0 has roots 1 and 2.
Assumptions and supported scope
Real coefficients and real roots only. Inequality supports ≤ only. Systems are 2×2 with unique well-conditioned solution; Determinants smaller than 1e−12 times the squared largest matrix coefficient are rejected. Numerical roots may have rounding error.
